Letter from the President

Success in 2010 will depend on two things:  attitude and self-discipline.

As individuals, we control both.  Thomas Huxley once said, “The most important success principal of all time is, “Do what you should do, when you should do it, whether you feel like it or not”.  In 2010 we may not be faced with the jobs we want to do, but they will be the jobs we need to do.  We are well trained professionals, representing our field of endeavor with high standards and extensive knowledge.  Our self-discipline is controlled by our attitude, and our attitude is controlled by the choices we make every day.  We should all strive to remember our strengths and capabilities and make every effort to do all that we should.

2010 should prove to be a fascinating and educational year for CARNM.  We are in control of our own management now, with our own office and staff.  We are delighted to have Kendra and Kelli representing us as the day-to-day presence of CARNM.  The Education Committee has a full slate of educational opportunities scheduled, and the Legislative, Governance, RPAC and RECPAC Committees are active.  I look forward to seeing you at the monthly CCIM and LIN meetings.  It is an honor and pleasure to serve as your 2010 President.  May our attitudes lead us to success!

Sincerely,

Debbie Harms, CCIM, SIOR
